Both libraries are open to the public six days a week. The students will not incur charges for using the Academy’s library but may incur charges for using the public libraries referenced above. The students must consult library personnel to familiarize themselves with the charges associated with using each library.
Databases
Students at McMillan Academy of Law will learn how to use subscription databases such as Westlaw and Lexis to properly research federal case law, specific state law, legal citations and other state legislation and statutes. Retrieving accurate and authentic information is one of the most important steps in the process of researching a potential claim and creating a plan to resolve issues.
